It All Started Here

Karachi, Pakistan

To have been given an opportunity to have lived in 3 different countries in 3 different continents is something I will always thank my parents for.

Starting off at the port side city of Karachi, Pakistan, where I spent the first 5 years of my life. It was amazing. It made me really appreciate core family values and how to always be there for one another. Being Pakistani teaches you a lot. Even through the tough times the people are facing, there is always an element of hope and positivity that things will get better. And I'm sure it will. The locals are the most caring, hospitable and charismatic people you'll ever meet.

Stage 2: Zambia

Stage 2: Zambia

The warm and beautiful country in the heart of southern Africa was my new home. There's no better place I'd want to grow up in. It defined my character, taught me invaluable lessons and gave me the best childhood friends one could ever ask for. Lived in two cities there - Lusaka (the capital) and Ndola (a small mining town in the Copperbelt province). I had a wonderful primary and secondary education providing a crucial foundation in planning post-secondary education. Shout-out to Simba International School, a very special place.

And now.. Vancouver, Canada

And now.. Vancouver, Canada

Leaving the wonderful nest in Zambia and coming to Vancouver at the age of 18 all alone was difficult, daunting and a challenge I was ready to take. Started off at Columbia College and then transferred out to Simon Fraser University where I took undergraduate courses in communication, new media, technology, entrepreneurship and innovation. Biggest lesson from school - grow your connections and foster relationships as early as possible. Also remember to have fun and enjoy your time there. Everyone says this and it's definitely true: it's the best time of your life.

Currently, Vancouver is home to my professional life. I love being a tourist here and walking around Granville Island, driving the Sea to Sky Highway up to Whistler and eating at the many distinct restaurants the city has to offer. The food is really awesome. Seriously. Awesome.

What the future holds? Who knows, but one thing for sure is that this won't be the last destination in the journey. Eventually, I'd love to go back to Zambia and create meaningful change to the country that gave me so much.
